Frequently asked questions
Is Materio free?
Yes. Materio is free to download and use. There is no subscription and no paid features. The account is optional and also free. The app is funded by Google AdMob ads.
Does the app work without internet?
Yes. All the calculators and the cutting optimizer run offline, on your phone. Without an account your projects and results stay on the device. Cloud sync needs a sign-in and a connection.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You open the app and start calculating. You only create an account if you want your saved projects and rooms on both the phone and the browser.
How does store search work?
You type a city or store name and Materio shows the nearest places on Google Maps and guides you to the one you pick. You can also share your location to see stores around you.
What data does Materio collect?
Without an account your projects, estimates and settings are stored only on the device. Once you sign in, projects, rooms, estimates and shopping lists are copied to Google Firestore (europe-central2, Warsaw) where only your account can see them. The app uses Google services (AdMob ads and maps for the store finder) which process limited data. It is all described in the Privacy Policy.
How many languages does the app support?
In 10 languages: Polish, English, German, Czech, Slovak, Romanian, Croatian, Serbian, Ukrainian and Russian.
Which phones does Materio run on?
On phones and tablets running Android 7.0 (API 24) or newer.
