Cookies and browser storage

Exactly what the site keeps in your browser, what for, and how to change your mind at any time.

Your consent

Google Analytics is off by default and only starts once you accept on the banner. You can withdraw that as easily as you gave it.

What the site itself stores

This data never leaves your browser. We do not send it anywhere and cannot reach it. Clearing the site data deletes it.

Name Kind What for How long
materio_consent localStorage Your decision about analytics. Without it the banner would ask on every visit. Until you clear the site data
materio-lang localStorage The language you picked in the switcher, so the next visit lands in it straight away. Until you clear the site data
materio-redirected sessionStorage A guard against a redirect loop when the language changes. Until the tab closes
materio-workspace-v1 localStorage Your projects, rooms and estimate lines saved without signing in. Until you clear the site data
materio-active-project localStorage Which project is active, so a new line goes into the right one. Until you clear the site data

What Google's services store

Only when you use them: analytics after you accept, Firebase after you sign in, the Google map on the stores page.

Name Kind What for How long
_ga, _ga_* cookie Google Analytics: anonymous, aggregated site traffic. Written only after you accept. Up to 2 years
firebaseLocalStorageDb IndexedDB The sign-in session under “My account” and a local copy of the account data. Only once signed in. Until you sign out
google.com / maps.google.com cookie The Google map embedded on the stores page sets Google's own files when it loads. Per Google's policy

The details and the legal basis are in the Privacy policy
